Tillotts Pharma AG celebrates its 30th anniversary in Switzerland with the conference “Making Visions Happen”.

Tillotts Pharma AG, headquartered in Rheinfelden (Aargau), celebrates 30 years in Switzerland this year. A fitting celebration to mark this anniversary was held today at the Volkshaus in Basel. Tillotts CEO, Thomas A. Tóth von Kiskér, opened the festivities and led guests from business, politics and culture through the programme. Presentations by Prof. Claude Nicollier, the first and so far only Swiss astronaut, and Sir Ranulph Fiennes, the acclaimed and internationally renowned explorer from England, were a highlight of the event. Both speakers reported on their extraordinary adventures and the challenges encountered as they sought to make their visions happen. The event was closed by Mr. Sachiaki Ibe, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tillotts and CEO of Zeria Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Tillotts’ parent company.

Rheinfelden, 6 September 2016. Tillotts Pharma AG was founded in London in the 1950s as a familyowned pharmacy and was established as a pharmaceutical company some 10 years later. The business moved to Basel in 1986 and is now headquartered in Rheinfelden. Tillotts invited around 120 guests from business, politics and culture to the Volkshaus in Basel to celebrate its 30th anniversary today.

To honour Tillotts' British roots and the company's subsequent links with its present location in Switzerland, two unique personalities from both countries made appearances as guest speakers: Prof. Claude Nicollier, the first and so far only Swiss astronaut, and Sir Ranulph Fiennes from England, the internationally renowned explorer and holder of multiple endurance records. Prof. Nicollier and Sir Ranulph Fiennes both succeeded in making their visions happen, each with the help of their professional teams. They believed in their dreams and pursued their goals with great determination, perseverance and self-motivation, even in difficult times. The paths and the philosophies of both explorers illustrated the challenge of establishing visions and implementing appropriate strategies – complementing the achievement of Tillotts own 2020 Business Vision.
